The Osapa London Youth Organization (OLYO), a registered community-based organization committed to grassroots development and environmental sustainability, paid a courtesy visit to Honorable Attah Thaddeus Achief, Honorable Member, Federal House of Representatives, representing Eti-Osa Federal Constituency.

The visit was led by OLYO President, Comrade Rilwan Muritala Kokoroowo Eletu-Odibo, accompanied by key members of the executive council: Comrade Saheed Olanrewaju Eletu-Odibo (Auditor General), Comrade Adejumo Abdulquadri (Treasurer), Comrade Ayomide Kayode (Woman Leader), and Comrade Oluwaseyi Eletu-Odibo (Media Officer).

During the visit, Comrade Rilwan expressed appreciation for the opportunity to engage with Hon. Attah and lauded the lawmaker’s notable efforts in youth empowerment, community development, and infrastructural improvement across Eti-Osa. He highlighted OLYO’s history, from its grassroots origin to becoming a government-registered organization actively engaged in community initiatives, particularly environmental sanitation.

In his remarks, Comrade Rilwan stated; “Osapa London Youth Organization is a non-political, non-religious organization, open to collaboration with government bodies, civil groups, and private individuals working to uplift the community. We have observed Hon. Attah’s commendable work in areas such as education support, palliative distribution, environmental cleanups, and water access through borehole projects. These impactful actions are what informed our decision to confer him with the title of Patron, an honor that is earned, not given lightly.”

Representing Hon. Attah Thaddeus during the event were Mr. Femi, Youth Leader of the Labour Party in Eti-Osa, and Chioma Ifeanyichukwu, his media aide. They received the Patronship Award and environmental sanitation proposal on the Honorable’s behalf.

Mr. Femi expressed gratitude for the recognition and reaffirmed Hon. Attah’s commitment to youth engagement and environmental sustainability.

According to Mr. Femi; “I’m very happy to receive this award and proposal on behalf of the Distinguished Honorable Attah Thaddeus Achief, Member of the Federal House of Representatives representing Eti-Osa Federal Constituency.

“Honorable Attah is deeply passionate about youth empowerment and committed to reforming local communities by giving young people a voice. Osapa London Youth Organization is one of the organizations we look forward to partnering with long-term, especially in implementing social initiatives, most importantly, environmental sanitation. A clean environment is a healthy environment.

“During our previous meeting with the Council, I spoke about our upcoming initiative, Clean-Up Eti-Osa. Our aim is to mobilize young people across the constituency to clean up our communities and demonstrate that Eti-Osa is not just a place people come to spend money and leave. It is home to real people, and we care about those who live here,” he said.

Mr. Femi further buttressed how pleased Honorable Attah would be and his team to working with Osapa London Youth Organization.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to long-term collaboration between the Osapa London Youth Organization and the office of Hon. Attah, in advancing community development and civic engagement within Eti-Osa and beyond.
