On Thursday, 22nd May 2025, the Manager of Grind Grill, located in Osapa London, warmly received delegates from the Osapa London Youth Organization (OLYO). The visit was centered on the formal presentation of OLYO’s Environmental Sanitation Proposal, an initiative designed to promote community cleanliness and foster collective responsibility among residents, institutions and businesses.
During the meeting, the Manager expressed strong support for the proposal, highlighting the establishment’s longstanding commitment to community development and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

He stated:
“Corporate Social Responsibility has never been an issue for us at Grind Grill. We have always maintained a close relationship with the youth and other stakeholders in the community. We recognize that this is our host environment, and it’s our duty to contribute to its wellbeing. Initiatives like this, aimed at improving the environment are commendable and align perfectly with our values.”
Reflecting on past challenges related to waste management, the Manager shared insights into his personal experience:
“Before Ambassador Dr. Prince Kazeem Eletu-Odibo intervened and took over the coordination of waste collection in this area, I faced a lot of difficulties. Many residents around here would dispose of their waste using the bin placed in front of my establishment. Despite the fact that I did not generate most of that waste, I had to bear the cost of disposal, as it was situated at my frontage. It was a tough and frustrating experience, but I had to take responsibility to ensure a clean environment.”
He went on to commend the OLYO initiative and assured the delegates of his willingness to support and partner with them:
“If we can have a structured initiative that encourages residents and businesses to engage in regular environmental sanitation under the umbrella of CSR, then I do not see why we would not be a part of it. It is something I personally believe in, and I can confidently say Grind Grill will subscribe to it. I will review the proposal in detail and discuss it internally, but I am giving you my assurance that we are on board.”

At the conclusion of the visit, the President of the Osapa London Youth Organization, who led the delegation, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Manager and the entire Grind Grill team for their hospitality, openness, and encouraging response. He reiterated OLYO’s dedication to fostering cleaner, safer, and more sustainable living conditions in Osapa London through collaborative partnerships with residents, institutions and stakeholders.
