The Osapa London Youth Organization (OLYO) paid a courtesy visit to First City Hospital, located within the Osapa London community, on Wednesday, 21st May, 2025, as part of its ongoing effort to foster collaborative community development and strengthen ties with key stakeholders in the area.
The hospital’s management, represented by a senior medical officer, warmly received the delegation. In his remarks, he commended OLYO for its proactive approach to youth engagement and environmental sanitation. He specifically acknowledged the positive impact of the compactor truck by Ambassador Dr. Prince Kazeem Austin Eletu-Odibo, describing it as instrumental in addressing waste management challenges within the community. The doctor noted that the synergy between OLYO and other stakeholders is a welcome development and a model for effective grassroots collaboration.
Leading the OLYO delegation was the President, Rilwan Muritala Eletu-Odibo, who provided a detailed overview of the organization’s sanitation initiative. He explained that the exercise is to be held monthly (once in every months), aimed at engaging the youths of the community through OLYO, encouraging them to actively participate in fulfilling their civic responsibilities.
The meeting concluded on a positive note; OLYO and First City Hospital reaffirmed their commitment to mutual cooperation and continuous dialogue for the betterment of the community.
